Why not Volunteer?
How you could help us...
There are different roles available including:
Cook/Daycare/Lunches - To assist in different group activities in cooking, food preparation and also serving food to our service users, we are always looking for friendly, approachable people who want to make a difference to someone who may be isolated or lonely. You will be provided with all the necessary training you require.
Driver/Escorts - We are always looking for volunteer drivers to assist our service users in getting to the Bureau or to medical/social appointments. Why not volunteer as a driver, you can drive your own car, assist someone in getting to their hospital appointment and you are able to claim your mileage allowance.
Alternatively we are always in need of drivers to drive our two ambulances and assist people in getting to the Bureau, the ambulances also require escorts to assist. No special licence is normally required as full training will be given
Desk/Admin - The Bureau is constantly manned with volunteers on the desk. These volunteers are the face of the Bureau which would not be able to operate without them. Desk volunteers answer the telephones, take transport requests and have knowledge of the local area.
